Seriously this generation crap is enough to drive you crazy. I really don't take too much notice of it all, even when I was hearing all this stuff at meetings. I just like to get on with living the best life I can and make the most of every day I have left to live. Interesting to know that they are playing with this idea again though.

MAJOR DOCTRINE CHANGE IN 1/15/2014 WT ON GENERATION TEACHING
by EndofMysteries inthe generation scripture no longer is speaking about 'the end'.
i'll quote it...... side note: tons of lies in this article, i'll point out at the end of the post.
"yet, jesus words at matthew 24:34 give us confidence that at least some of "this generation will by no means pass away" before seeing the start of the great tribulation.".

Dubbies stopped by
by rebel8 inwell just like everyone else, we were visited by 2 old ladies.
mr. rebel8 was home and it went something like, "we're on a worldwide mission and we wanted to know if we could just leave this in your door.
" so he said ok and took it (because he knew i'd have fun with it later).. the tract reads like a note i passed to a boy in 1st grade:.

Rebel 8 I am with you on this one, I'd rather save someone from getting mixed up with that cult rather than try to change the deluded dubbies into rational thinking people. They talk about people in the world being asleep, spiritually speaking, they themselves are fast asleep to really what is going on with the Watchtower. So glad I don't go to meetings anymore. Had my daughter over for dinner tonight (meeting night), what a good feeling it was not to have to worry about that garbage anymore.

I am one of the newbies who joined this forum in January. I read posts everyday. Yes Watchtower should be worried because there are more and more people waking up to them an their trash. It would be interesting to know how many folks are exiting the org each year. My DA letter isn't far away I can tell you that much. I have nothing to loose, no family in and certainly no friends. Annual Meeting open to anyone in Australia?
by RayPublisher ini just saw this quote on a forum for uber jwdubbs:.
"in australia branch territory everyone can come, public included, however not going publicly advising it, plus no tickets are going to be used".
i wonder if that's really the case?

Yes an announcement was made at meeting during the week that the AGM would be on 6th Oct. Everyone is encouraged not to miss it. Because we share our hall with 2 other congs they have split the 3.5 hr meeting into a morning and and afternoon session so everybody can attend. Don't know how I will stand that. We got the later one finishing at 6:30pm mmm.

Our DC is on now and I...
by Julia Orwell in...was just in the yard playing with my cat.
spent ages with my beautiful cat, watching her roll on the lawn and purr.
her fur is unbelievably soft.. we slept in, got up, had a leisurely breakfast knowing we can go at our own pace, tended the chickens, i called my brother; hubby and i did some housework, played with the cat, and we're off to a lunch date down the local pizza place, knowing we won't have any jws pass by and snub us or look askance at hubby's beard because they're all in brisbane.. it feels a bit funny missing something i've been going to since i was 18, but it also feels good.

Yes I love the feeling when the conventions come around knowing that there is no mid week meeting and no 3 days of crap to sit through. I quit going to DCs in 2010. Also love the freedom when we have assemblies that I also no longer attend. It's so much more relaxing not to have to worry about such things. I still go to mid week meetings sometimes and weekends of course and field service had been scaled right back. That's enough stress for me to handle in one week. I am working on leaving all together, probably letter of DA. Just hanging to see what happens in 2014. Could be an interesting year ahead me thinks.
